Ag Initiative

The Ag Initiative encourages College Station ISD students to participate in agriculture and livestock programs by raising and showing animals. However, the cost of preparing animals for the Brazos County Youth Livestock Show can be a barrier.

Students who win a Premium Auction can recoup their investment and fund future projects. Unfortunately, those who don’t, often sell their animals at a significant loss.

To bridge this gap, the CSISD Freezer Sale Fund was created to help students who don’t make a premium sale by securing community support for animal purchases. This ensures students recover their financial and personal investment while encouraging continued participation in agricultural programs.

The Education Foundation is proud to partner with the CSISD Career & Technical Education Department, committing a minimum of $20,000 in matching seed money to support this initiative.
