DISTRICT-WIDE
Millions of books for thousands of students! Readers are blasting off with the SORA online book app recently funded through a district-wide grant! The mobile reading app empowers students and teachers, from PreK-12th grade, to access e-books and audiobooks from district devices or their own, and then check out books from the district or the public library…to read at home, at school, or from the moon! This chapter was generously sponsored by Caldwell Country Chevrolet.

COLLEGE STATION HIGH SCHOOL
CSHS teachers will "compress" the boring worksheets and "expand" upon the fascinating chemistry of gas laws. SOUTHWOOD VALLEY ELEMENTARY
Teachers at Southwood Valley Elementary created the “Great Outdoor Stake Out” – a portable outdoor classroom for students. It was one of six outdoor learning spaces that the Education Foundation funded at several campuses this year to combat COVID requirements for masks and social distancing. Thank you to Jim & Linda Woods for sponsoring this colorful classroom!

SOUTH KNOLL ELEMENTARY
Students are a hop, skip and a jump from learning and fun at South Knoll Elementary. The Outdoor Sensory Playscape was created by the art teacher, painted by teachers and volunteers, and funded by an innovative teaching grant. Hooray for Culpepper Realty who sponsored this grant!

A&M CONSOLIDATED HIGH SCHOOL
Students + Technology = Computer Lab. We are “fully connected” with excitement about students helping students with computers. Information Technology students at AMCHS are designing, building, and implementing a computer lab for kids at Cypress Grove Intermediate through an innovative classroom grant sponsored by The Rife Law Firm.

ALL CSISD MIDDLE SCHOOLS
The student “jam session” now has a new vibe with electric instruments provided through an Innovative Teaching Grant sponsored by Dr. Leonard & Nancy Berry. The instruments were first used at Wellborn Middle School and will be shared with students at AMCMS and CSMS.

CYPRESS GROVE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
BOOMWHACKER! It’s a type of instrument recently added to the music program at Cypress Grove through an innovative teaching grant sponsored by Party Time Rentals. Bass bars and bass recorders were also added through the “All About the Bass” project.

Art takes a new dimension with a 3D printer at Cypress Grove Intermediate. Growing artists in 5th and 6th grade are exploring digital creation combining art and technology sponsored by CC Creations.
